The sphere is an example of rotational symmetry. If we rotate a sphere around its axis, it remains unchanged. Invariance is the result of symmetry and means that something hasnít changed in spite of transformation. The degree of symmetrical invariance is related directly to the freedom of movement in time and space without any loss of identity.

Macrocosmic changes are a result of fractured symmetries in the irreversible passage of time - in the same way that differences in color are a result of refracted light. The search for reality is a search for invariance and invariance of identity is freedom. The harmony of the spheres is the symbol of a new understanding of music that results from the integration of all polar interactions of musical forces.
